Mail your check, payable to Chicago City Day School, to the Development Office, Chicago City Day School, 541 West Hawthorne Place, Chicago, IL  60657.

Donating stock is one of the smartest ways to give, and it benefits you while supporting Chicago City Day School. Here’s why: You can save on taxes. When you donate your appreciated assets, you can avoid paying capital gains tax. If you itemize deductions, you can also take a charitable deduction for the entire donation amount. 

To transfer stocks or other securities to City Day, please:

• Contact Development Director Alexa Hand at ahand@chicagocitydayschool.org or 773-327-0900 to notify us that your stock gift is on its way.
• Download, complete, and return our Stock Gift Confirmation Form. Please email completed form to Development Director Alexa Hand.
• For additional information, download the Schwab Deposit Instructions.

If you are age-qualified and have an IRA, use a QCD (Qualified Charitable Distribution) to make your gift. QCDs satisfy your RMDs (Required Minimum Distributions) and maximize your charitable impact —QCDs are not recognized as income and City Day receives the full amount of your transfer tax-free.  

There are many convenient ways to include City Day in your estate plans. Did you know that in addition to the option of making a bequest, you can name City Day as the beneficiary of retirement plans, IRAs, bank and brokerage accounts, life insurance policies, and/or as the successor beneficiary of your DAF (Donor Advised Fund)? Like a bequest, these gifts help ensure that City Day's uniquely transformational education will be available to future generations of young learners.
