School spirit alive during City Day Halloween

There was nothing frightening about the Halloween activities at Chicago City Day School, which kicked off the final week of Spooky Season with a high dose of school spirit.

The annual Halloween celebration, which took place on Friday, Oct. 25, began with a costume parade featuring students in junior kindergarten through grade 5. Parents lined Hawthorne Place to watch the students (and many City Day teachers!) show off their amazing garb. In the afternoon, the younger grades played games such as Pin the Bowtie on the Skeleton and Pumpkin Bowling outside on the lawn, while older students carved pumpkins in the King Café. 

The Halloween activities at City Day are a beloved tradition, and this year's event more than lived up to expectations. See a video of the costume parade and pictures from the day below.
