After School Programs
Recent activities have included ice skating (during the winter months on our outdoor skating rink), music lessons, French baking, "edible art," and Lego building.
Unique programs that allow students to unwind and engage in a new way
The Chicago City Day School After School Program gives students the opportunity to pursue additional interests and passions after the "final bell" of the school day rings. We offer high-quality educational and recreational activities in three 8-week sessions. Recent activities have included ice skating (during the winter months on our outdoor skating rink), music lessons, French baking, "edible art," and Lego building. Most of the programs are led by City Day teachers.
First-graders are invited to participate in the winter and spring sessions. Second- through eighth-graders may choose to enroll for the entire year. All classes meet from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
City Day also offers Extended Day service before and after school. This gives students a safe and supervised place in our building to relax or play either after being dropped off or while waiting to be picked up at the end of the day.
