In an increasingly technological age, it is imperative that students are computer literate and knowledgeable about the new technologies that are appropriate for elementary school. The computer science curriculum is designed to integrate technology as a learning tool into everyday experiences of children. Students learn to keyboard, word process, develop spreadsheets, and maintain databases. The impact of technology on today's world is evident during a tour of the campus. A minimum of two computers are available in each classroom. Two extensive computer facilities are open to students, teachers, and their classes, one of which is positioned in the library to encourage research opportunities integrating print, non-print, and electronic information. Other technologies, such as iMovie and digital photography, are embedded in the classes and integrated across the curricular areas. Students develop Hyperstudio presentations and work with graphics for various projects within the school year.
